Having secured an IPL lifeline after independent arbitrator Justice B N Srikrishna issued a six week stay on the franchise's expulsion the Rajasthan Royals are starting to plan for next years tournament.

The decision means the Royals can take part in January’s player auction and even announce, by December 5th up to four players who they wish to retain for next years tournament.

"We are extremely humbled by the ruling of the honourable judge. This has strengthened the faith amongst our players, sponsors, and all our fans. We look forward to an exciting and successful IPL season 4," said Royals Chief Marketing Officer Raghu Iyer.

"The implications of the award is that Rajasthan Royals can continue its participation in IPL season 4 and hold all its rights such as retention of players, participating in the forthcoming player auctions, executing sponsorship deals etc," added Iyer.

Despite winning a stay of execution the Royals are not guaranteed their place in next years tournament after the BCCI announced their decision to appeal the decision.
